12:15 am - Shaolin Kung Fu
Okay, I'm not fixated on the kung fu thing or anything, but this is a great video. Wonderful comedic timing. My favorite part is when this guy gets kicked in the balls like eight times and then they show it again in slow motion.

02:03 pm - Ebook making software!!! This website has a few different programs for making ebooks! I'd be wary of viruses and such, but this sounds like a cool project. http://www.newfreedownloads.com/find/make-ebook.html
There is also an Adobe ebook program. If it's possible, I'd like to experiment with videos and images in an ebook. I want to make something that contains a variety of digital media but has a beautiful handmade quality to it. I don't know if you can have videos incorporated into ebooks or if I'd have to just rely upon blogging sites.

11:45 pm - HOW CONVENIENT!!! Here's a database of infomercials as seen on tv. I'm curious about the cleavage clip.

11:00 pm - If it beeps or lights up it's entertainment. Keeping to the arbitrary theme of robotics, this is a really cool book I'm reading right now. It was written in 1994, but it's right on track with contemporary technology and its aspirations. Kevin Kelly does a wonderful job explaining how complex biological and technological systems work to us non-techies. I guess lesser-techies would be closer to the truth, but either way Kelly writes so well that I don't even know it's been dumbed down! You can read the book online just by following this link! From here you can access more of his online books.

07:17 pm - So I've been learning Kung Fu... ...and I just found out that it's called Wing Chung and not Wang Chung.
This is Wing Chung.

According to google images, this is also Wing Chung.

This is Wang Chung. A pop rock band from the 1980s.

Once again, Wing Chung (I actually learned this drill today):
And Wang Chung:
Now that I see them side by side I can't tell that big of a difference. If you really want to blow your mind, play the videos at the same time.

10:48 pm - Funny name, serious sandwich...
According to http://www.axolotl.org/ , New Zealanders call this critter the Mexican Walking Fish. It isn't a fish, but an axolotl or salamander whose species can completely regenerate lost limbs. Wiggy!
